Our manufacturing units for both pipe and fittings have been designed to be flexible, low cost, efficient operations incorporating modern technology.
Particular emphasis is placed on tooling design and methods to improve manufacturing efficiencies.
Key Plastic's technical staff and engineers travel overseas to compare our manufacturing methods with those employed internationally and to discuss possible equipment improvements with machinery suppliers to assist easier and more consistent processing.
Production staff are encouraged to attend training courses at external educational institutions to supplement their on-job training.

At Key Plastics emphasis is placed on achievement of quality production by "designing in" quality. Quality of product design and tooling is essential to this process. In designing our fittings, we examine all possibilities within the limits of applicable Australian standards, by using both computer design resources and by checking all available sample products from current Australian and overseas manufacturers.
The design process then advances to tooling design and manufacture. An associated company with many years of experience in the manufacture of tools for PVC fittings carries out precision tooling manufacture for our operations.
Finally, a comprehensive Quality Assurance program is maintained under the surveillance of Standards Australia to ensure the quality of our moulded and extruded products.
Key Plastics has always maintained a commitment to quality and was the first Australian PVC pipe and fitting manufacturer to obtain all required Standardsmark and Watermark licences for its range of products.
